VelasquezManuel Velazquez (1918-2014), and began building in the 1930s, he is widely considered a world-class maker, and his guitars have been played by Andres Segovia, Julian Bream, and many others. This guitar was no 16 made in 1958. The original bill of sale states that is made with the following woods: Bank and sides in dark brown Brazilian rosewood. Front or top in German spruce; the neck in African mahogany. The fingerboard in black African ebony. Marquetry in black and white, and fitted with Lansdorfer machine heads. The present owner bought it from its original owner in 1970, and played it professionally until he stopped playing about 20 years ago. The guitar unfortunately languished in a closet-- and suffered a number of cracks. The top has several repaired cracks that run from the bridge to the bottom, and one under the 1st string which extended to the rosette. The back likewise has four repaired hairline cracks. The French polish was refreshed at some point, but has been scuffed up since. The neck and set up are perfect-- and the guitar is very comfortable to play and still has all of the qualities of sound for which Velazquez remain prized. $12950

1965 José Ramirez cedar Brazilian rosewood.A well played and loved example of Jose Ramirez's work from his bell epoch. Beautifully responsive and easy to play with a lush 20th century Madrid tone. the guitar is very original having only one invisible repaired back crack. The finish is crazed and has lost its luster on the back. The guitar belonged to Melbourne guitarist and teacher Peter Draper and has recently been used by Slava Grigoryan. $9995.00
NEW Allan Bull Evo modelAllan's Evo model is based on a concept introduced by Francisco Simplicio in the 1920's. The repositioning of the soundhole into the upper bout helps to boost support for the lower and mid-range frequencies. Used in combination with the super-lightweight bridge arrangement and Allan's asymmetrical grid bracing design the result is a guitar with great power and evenness throughout its range. Ergonomics are excellent with a 640mm scale, slightly smaller body and slim neck. The neck is adjustable, allowing the player to adjust the playing action to compensate for changes in humidity or to accommodate different repertoire/playing styles. This guitar has a redwood soundboard and the back and sides are Tasmanian tiger myrtle. The back is braceless. A removable tail hatch allows access for string fitment. $7950 Aus

NEW YULONG GUO CHAMBER CONCERT GUITAR$4,950.00
I’ve just received two 2018 one Spruce and one Cedar concert Chamber guitars by Master Luthier Yulong Guo who is a world-class professional concert guitar. The craftsmanship in the woodworking and finish are evident and matched by the wonderful acoustic properties of this beautiful guitar. For this Chamber Concert model the latest classical guitar technology was used: double-top with two ultra-thin layers of high-quality sound woods on either side of a layer of Nomex to give the strength needed for the durability of the top. Back and sides are made of solid Indian Rosewood. The arched “violin back” gives the guitar amazing sound projection and volume, making it ideal for concert performances. The upper bout of the body is sloped to give a ‘raised fingerboard’ in the style of Humphrey guitars. The ebony fingerboard is 52 mm in width at the nut and 62 mm at the 12th fret. The fingerboard also extends to the 20th fret for the treble strings. A rosewood armrest, ultra-smooth frets and a low string action make the Chamber Concert exceptionally easy and comfortable to play.
