Allan’s Evo model is based on a concept introduced by Francisco Simplicio in the 1920’s. The repositioning of the soundhole into the upper bout helps to boost support for the lower and mid-range frequencies. Used in combination with the super-lightweight bridge arrangement and Allan’s asymmetrical grid bracing design the result is a guitar with great power and evenness throughout its range. Ergonomics are excellent with a 640mm scale, slightly smaller body and slim neck. The neck is adjustable, allowing the player to adjust the playing action to compensate for changes in humidity or to accommodate different repertoire/playing styles. This guitar has a redwood soundboard and the back and sides are Tasmanian tiger myrtle. The back is braceless. A removable tail hatch allows access for string fitment.
