1936 Gibson L-12

$8,950.00

This 1936 L-12 features Gibson's advanced 17" body with X bracing. The L-12 was similar to the L-5 but had a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. it was dearer than other fine arch tops of the era the L-7 and L-10. This guitar features the original light weight bridge and tail piece not to mention the open back gold grover tuners. The guitar has a repaired crack on the top and on the back, and is sporting a reproduction scratch plate. It was recently re-fretted here in Sydney by Piers Crocker and consequently plays beautifully. It's a fine sounding pre war arch top.
