If you wanted the best Flamenco guitar in the world mid 20th century, you would look no further than the famous Marcelo Barbero workshop. I remember a flamenco player friend purchased one from a visiting Spanish artist in the 1980’s and it cost him $20,000 back then! This particular guitar has been in the one family since it was new, having belonged to Conchita del Cerro. The sound is explosive while retaining the sweetness and balance you’d expect from Arcangel Fernandez. The guitar is in incredible condition, and it has only one hairline crack that isn’t visible under the Golpeador.
