A great-sounding Contreras double top made by the old man. Contreras senior, who made Segovia's first 1960 Jose Ramirez during his three-year stint at the famous workshop, went on to open up his own shop in the 1960s. This particular example was originally owned by Marion Schaap and features a Spruce soundboard with parabolic bracing and stunning old-growth Brazilian rosewood back and sides. The guitar is very playable, having a 650 scale, and is in good original condition, only showing some playing wear consistent with a professionally owned instrument. A good opportunity to pick up a truly great Madrid school master guitar for under $10,000. Ships in a Hiscox case.
