1999 Simon Rovis- Hermann

An excellent example of Pearth Luthier Simon Rovis – Hermann’s early work showing the influence of Richard Howell. Simon meet with Daniel Friederich when he was Artist in residency at the Cite International des Art in Paris, during which time he visited Charles Besnainou at the University of Paris’ to see his research into musical instrument acoustics. It was at this time he visited the Paris Museum of musical instruments and had the opportunity to study in detail a Robert Bouchet guitar.

This guitar features Cedar top and Indian rosewood back and sides, 650 ebony fingerboard, Schaller tuners and French polish. The guitar plays beautifully and sounds warm and robust.
